Description reads from the magnetic media unit attached to the current process and displays the contents of each block read to the terminal or printer.

Any type of Pick-formatted media may be read with this command.
Syntax t-read {(options}
Options block.number{-block.number} Reads a specific number of blocks or a range of block numbers. .it block.number .xit specifies number of blocks to read; .it block.number-block.number .xit specifies a range of blocks. Blocks are counted from the current position of the tape. If the entire option is omitted, all tape blocks up to the next eof are read.

a Converts EBCDIC format to ASCII.

n No pause. Suppresses the pause at the end of each page on the terminal.

p Directs output to system printer, via the Spooler.

x Displays in hexadecimal format.
